A Song Title Conversation.. understand this you really have to know me but I’ll give you a little clue.  I’ve been a HUGE Tracy Lawrence fan since…well since time began. So in kidding around a couple weeks ago I said I could probably have a full conversation in nothing but Tracy song titles.  So this morning at work, while I was all alone, I was thinking, and being really silly. So I wrote an imaginary conversation and it goes like this..

“So remember what we said when we were little and someone called us names?”

“Yep, ‘these Sticks and Stones’ ” I replied

“Ha ha and remember what we were told to do if our clothes ever caught fire?”

“Yep, ‘Stop Drop and Roll‘ ” I replied again.

“So how long do you plan on being a Tracy fan?”

“As long as there’s ‘Stars Over Texas‘ ” I said

“and why is that?”

“Well, ‘As Any Fool Can See‘ he’s the best” I proclaimed.

“What about all of the other country singers you liked?”

“Oh, ‘I Threw The Rest Away‘ ” I said

“So what are we doing tonight?”

“Well, it is ‘Saturday In The South’

The End

I could have gone on and on

Thinking Of Going Green?

Have you been thinking about going green but don’t really know where to start? I know the whole concept can be a little overwhelming at first. Trying to decide what to do and where to start. Well here are a few simple ideas. The first thing I did was paperless billing. Some companies even offer a little discount if you go paperless. It’s really simple to sign up.  If you have an email address you can sign up at your utility company’s website. How about direct deposit and opting out of getting a check stub? These are just a couple simple, do nothing ways to start your go green efforts

The Earth & Disasters

As I sit and watch the devastation in New York and New Jersey, I think to myself  “I’m so glad I don’t live on the coast any more” but then I remember that where I do live isn’t free from disasters of it’s own. 11 years ago we had a 500,000 acre fire that had us evacuated from town for close to 2 weeks. Lots of homes and businesses were lost. Last year it happened again. It makes me realize that no where is safe from disaster. In California where I grew up we had earthquakes. So I guess it just depends on where you live.  It just saddens me what our earth is going through.  Hurricane Katrina pounded the gulf coast leaving a lot of people homeless, some personal friends of mine included. Fires happening all over California continuously.

Nowhere is safe from disaster so please donate to the Red Cross. Help those in need.

Well, it’s that time. Yep NaNoWriMo is here. I may not survive this.  Although I don’t know why I’m so nervous about this. I write all the time. It’s not like this is the first time I’ve ever written anything. I’ve just never written anything of this magnitude.  So I’ll probably lose a lot of sleep in the next 30 days. Go a little more gray (under the blond highlights) and maybe eat way too much chocolate, but I suppose it will all be worth it in the end. An accomplishment. An achievement.  So off I go into the land of the WriMo’s
